Itinerary

This journey to the “Mountains of the Moon” will start when one of our guides and a driver pick you up in your hotel. Before getting to La Chorrera we will visit Guadalupe, one of Bogotá’s best viewpoints. See its imposing landscape and then head to Choachí, to the entrance of the park.

Once there and before delving deeper into the park, we’ll visit its first smaller waterfall, El Chiflón. This one is 55 meters tall, and adventurers often rappel down its icy fall.

As we advance, learn of the park’s history, the local ecosystem, and recent challenges Explore the park’s other curiosities like its “monkey stones”, and the peculiarities of these cloud forests. Thick with vegetation and often mist, these forests are filled with alluring mystique, and walking through them is a unique experience.

Deeper inside the park, you’ll find La Chorrera: a tiered or stepped 590 meters tall waterfall. This one you can’t rappel down, but you can marvel at! Take in the mighty sight and rest your feet before taking the trail back out of the park.

Finally, you’ll be able to join in with some of the locals for a fantastic local lunch before heading back to Bogotá.
