Our guide will take you from your hotel towards the Tejo field. Tejo is our national sport in which you will basically fly rocks against small explosives while drinking beer and having fun. All these things are parts of the sport rules. This will be a 2.5-hour tour of non-stop screaming and laughing. Tejo is the Colombian national sport of throwing rocks at small explosives, and it was brought from the countryside to the city. The word Tejo means steel projectile.
In this tour you will meet the guide at your hotel. After the introduction, you will start a 20-minute drive through the historical center of the city towards the Tejo field. Once there, the guide will give you all indications and rules to understand how to play it.
A shuffle session may last around 20 minutes but may be longer if the players so wish, and while you play it you will share some Colombian beers.
After 2 hours of shouting, laughter and throwing stones the guide will take you back to your hotel. The fun of this – as with other activities – is doing it in good company. Immerse yourself and explore the Colombian roots in the game, good food, and beer, and let us be part of it.
A part of the national sport of Colombia involves getting your hands dirty with clay, so we suggest wearing comfortable clothes that can get dirty. No good story ends with clean shoes.
You must be over 18 (the legal drinking age in Colombia) to book this tour. Please keep in mind this activity incudes alcoholic drinks
The tour includes 4 beers per person, the amounts of drinks do not mean that players are too intoxicated to play. Keep in mind you will have to pay for extra beers and extra food.
