La Candelaria Bogotá City Tour

After introducing you to Bogotá’s history, you will visit a local market to discover the local lifestyle and try several typical fruits such as Lulo or Guanábana. You will understand why the city and Colombia have so much variety of natural products, fruits and vegetables and you will get to taste on your own some of the most exotic yet traditional fruits. You will also have the chance to see the local market of the neighborhood and the different products they have to offer, from groceries to coffee and from pastry to clothes.

Later on, you will walk down the Seventh Avenue, the axis street of Bogotá that crosses it from south to north. This avenue will head you to Simón Bolívar Square where we’ll explain to you the real importance of the place and its surrounding buildings. You will see the Cathedral of Bogotá, the Palace of Justice, the National Capitol, and Lievano Palace: the city hall.

Also here, you will be able to grasp a bit more about the intricate relationship between the state, drug trade, and guerrillas in our history. And last but not least, you will visit Casa de Nariño, the Presidential Palace and its gardens.

Walk again to the cobblestoned streets of La Candelaria and finish this fun 3 hours of touring around Bogota’s downtown with a cup of one of the world’s best coffees: ours.
